Equality NoVa (formerly AGLA) is Northern Virginia’s longest-standing grassroots LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization, dedicated to building community, advancing civic engagement, and promoting education and service. For over 35 years, we have created welcoming spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals and allies can connect, learn about LGBTQ+ culture and history, and advocate for equitable representation in public life. Through social programming, nonpartisan outreach, and community service initiatives, Equality NoVa empowers individuals, fosters belonging, and strengthens the broader Northern Virginia community. Membership is open to all who share our commitment to equality and inclusion.
